2013 grammy awards

once upon a time there was a girl...
her passions - fashion. music. family. friends.

one day, an opportunity arose to attend the 2013 grammy awards.
normally, she would die for this opportunity even knowing nothing about the lineup.

but this girl, you see, has a very favorite band.
she saw this band on her birthday last year on the third row at the ryman auditorium.
this band is mumford & sons (nominated for six gramys and slated to perform)
it felt like the stars were aligning for a great night.

it seemed like the day would never come...
and then it did.

and i promised to document it...
and so i did.

getting ready.
everyone has a "before" picture, right?

or two?

lee ann and morgan's "before" pics

the accessories.

the jewelry was all from j. crew
nail polish is a shellac color called romantique

my shoes - vince camuto

mom's accessories...
also vince camuto shoes.

morgan's accessories.
check out glamhouse for similar awesomeness...

pre-event photos.

mom and i both wore bcbg maxazria dresses w/ vince camuto shoes.

so, how did i choose?
a lot of the pricier dresses were one-hit wonders.
i wanted something i could wear again + one i could style with jewelry for days and a pop of shoe.

all of the ladies

all of us full-length

almost time to go!
inside the show!

i don't know what to tell you...
the experience was surreal to say the least.

some of the key performances were justin timberlake (nailed it),
rihanna (nails it, always), mumford & sons, the lumineers,
fun., maroon 5 with alicia keys, bruno mars, elton john...

i could go on and on, but i'll bet most of you watched it!

i will never forget this experience.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MUMFORD & SONS FOR WINNING
ALBUM OF THE YEAR FOR BABEL.
[if they aren't your favorite band then we cannot be friends...]
