THAT Time of Year

I am allergic to color.

This time last year, I was going through one big life transition. As a result, the holidays lacked their typical luster and had no notion of the Christmas spirit. This year is different. I may not have a Christmas tree, but I am definitely feeling more optimistic about things! Work, relationships and health are all wonderful this time. And man, have I learned a ton!

If you read one of my last blog posts, it was a progress report on health, diet, exercise and overall mood. Isn't that a terrible topic to digest this time of year? Thankfully, my wellness coach writes some inspiring advice both to enjoy the holidays and stay on the wagon. Each time I fall off the wagon, my body rebels against me. We are entertaining the idea that I might have an intolerance to something. This week, my challenge is to eat no gluten. Considering I have felt so terrible the past few days, I think I will try anything. If you're like me and find it difficult to eat healthy and get outside for some exercise, consider whether there is a person in your life who can hold you accountable. Mine is The Healthy Lemon, and I have so enjoyed the first 2/3 of my journey with her! This might be the best Christmas present to yourself!

In the spirit of Christmas, fitness and shopping, here are some ideas YOU can ask for or purchase for that friend or family member who just needs the right resources to make health a main priority.

1. Wii Fit U |  2. Scale  |  3. Yoga Mat | 4. FitBit  |  5. VitaMix  |  6. Wheat Belly Cookbook  |
7. Fit Plan Journal  |  8. Mason Jars  |  9. Fitness Barre
