April Showers bring Packed Plans

It's a new month and Spring is in the air! It's also my last month before going back to work, so I hope to make it count with a lot of fun adventures. Here's what's in store:

• Saturday, April 2, 2016: Opening day of the Memphis Farmer's Market. It's time that Eila get acquainted with the Memphis Farmer's Market! It's funny because sometimes I spend all of 15-minutes there, but I still crave attending it each week. The things on my shopping list include eggs, bacon and fresh flowers. I've been doing a lot of research on making homemade flower arrangements. We received a ton of flowers after Eila was born and it made the house such a happier place, so I want to keep up the vibe. I'll top it all off with a breakfast burrito from the Fuel food truck. Stay tuned for pics! 
• Monday, April 4, 2016: Postpartum check-up with Dr. Malone (Joy!)
• Monday, April 4 - April 9, 2016: Memphis Fashion Week. I so enjoyed attending this event a few years back (you know, back when I blogged about fashion...I am trying to make my way back). I won't be able to attend the weekend show, but I hope to go to something! Shout out to Casey Beck for being selected to show her designs this year. I know you'll do great!!! 
• Friday, April 8 - Sunday, April 10, 2016: We are leaving some fun events in Memphis (Happy Birthday, Drew! Happy Due Date, Kelly! Happy Please-don't-lose-to-the-Warriors-by-50 Day!) and heading to Illinois. Lucas' 94 year-old grandmother lives on a farm that I have yet to see, and she needs to meet Eila! It will be nice to get away for a weekend and log some family time. It will also be interesting to see how traveling 7 hours with a 8 week-old turns out. Stay tuned for pics here also!
• Wednesday, April 13, 2016: Wyatt CLE. I get to spend the first half of the day with some of my colleagues at a CLE reminding myself that I am an attorney and work is around the corner. 
• Friday, April 15, 2016: Tax Day, gross! Might attend a birthday function. Also, Aunt Emily comes in town this weekend, and we hope Little E can meet Even-Smaller E! 
• SOMEWHERE AROUND HERE: Playoffs. Lucas and I plan to rejoin the Grizz community for the playoffs this year! Eila has her noise-canceling earphones ready...and lots of Grizz gear! Until then, maybe we should start winning some games.
• Sunday, April 17, 2016: Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival
• Saturday, April 23, 2016: ALL OF THE THINGS. My beloved friend, Stephanie Bada, is getting married!!! YAY! Also, Lucero Family Picnic. Also, Hot Wing Festival! We will somehow make it all work. Don't believe me? Just watch. 
• Friday, April 29 - Sunday, May 1, 2016: Beale Street Music Festival! Who knows if we will make it this year, but I'd like to go to something if for no other reason than because it commemorates the start of our relationship in 2014! 

Something tells me that this month is going to fly by! You only have one maternity leave, right? I'm trying to be better about staying present and enjoying my time with our baby girl before I'm all careered again.
