First Monday in May: An Unfashionable Transition Back to Work

Friends! The day has come. It's the First Monday in May, which consequently may mean nothing to you. For me, it means my first day back to the office. For hundreds of Hollywood's fashion elite, it means the Met Gala! If you enjoyed The September Issue then I bet you cannot wait to watch First Monday in May, which is a documentary about the Met Gala. I was reading The Skimm this morning and heard the Met Gala referred to as "fashion's prom" or "fashion's super bowl" and then subtly reminded me that I was not invited. I love fashion! If it has its own prom, I want to be invited! But alas, I am not a member of Hollywood's elite. In fact, I will just be going back to work at AutoZone, the country's leading retailer in auto parts. On Monday's we wear store dress code, which is basically a red polo and black pants. Needless to say, no one will be last-minute summoning me to the gala or its after parties. The theme is Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology. Check out fashion using Latin phrases to inspire greatness!

I am pumped. I will debrief all of the best looks on tomorrow's post, but for now, let's take a look at past greatness!
